Arsenal Sink Aston Villa 2-0 To Keep Title Hopes Alive

Gunners Keep Pace With City

Arsenal kept their title hopes alive with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were enough to secure all three points for the Gunners, who now sit just three points behind leaders Manchester City with two games to play.

Saka Breaks Deadlock

The game started slowly, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. However, Arsenal took the lead in the 15th minute when Saka drove into the Villa box and fired a low shot into the bottom corner. Arsenal continued to press for a second goal, but Villa defended resolutely and kept the deficit to one at the break.

Odegaard Seals Victory

The Gunners started the second half strongly and doubled their lead in the 55th minute. Odegaard picked up the ball on the edge of the box and curled a delightful shot into the top corner. Villa offered little in response and Arsenal were able to see out the game comfortably.

The victory was a vital one for Arsenal, who now have a real chance of winning the Premier League title for the first time in 19 years. The Gunners will face Everton and Manchester United in their final two games, while City must play Newcastle and Brighton.
