35 Years of "La la la": The Album that United Two Legends

Fito Páez Pays Tribute to Luis Alberto Spinetta

Luis Alberto Spinetta and Fito Páez, two towering figures in Argentine rock music, collaborated on the iconic album "La la la" released 35 years ago today. The double album showcased the synergy between these maestros, blending their distinct musical styles into a cohesive masterpiece.

Spinetta, renowned for his poetic lyrics and experimental compositions, met Páez, a rising star in the '80s, by chance in the streets of Buenos Aires. The pair struck up an immediate connection, and the idea for a joint album was born.

"La la la" features a diverse range of tracks, from Spinetta's introspective "Seguir viviendo sin tu amor" to Páez's energetic "Brillante sobre el mic." The album's title track, an eponymous collaboration, encapsulates the essence of their partnership—a blend of Spinetta's enigmatic musings and Páez's infectious melodies.

To commemorate the album's anniversary, Fito Páez took to social media to share his memories of working with his legendary counterpart. He recalled the album's genesis and the unforgettable creative process they shared.

"Thirty-five years ago today, we released 'La la la', an album that changed our lives," Páez wrote. "Luis, you're always present in our hearts."
